I am a Mitigation Specialist currently in practice based in Lubbock, Texas. I have vast trial experience at all levels of criminal homicide cases, ranging from Intoxicated Manslaughter to Capital Murder. The main emphasis of my practice has been Murder and Capital Murder, of which I have been actively involved in well over 225 cases. I have accepted appointments from State District Courts, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, and Federal District Courts. I have maintained a private practice in Mitigation issues, working out of Lubbock and Dallas, Texas, throughout the State of Texas and United States since June, 1988.

What experience do I have?

Over the past 20 years, I have been appointed by various courts as an expert regarding sentencing determination issues including mitigation and future dangerousness in both state and federal courts. I have testified with regard to jury selection issues in my capacity as a Mitigation Specialist, as well as assisted in over 100 voir dire in both murder and capital murder cases in State and Federal courts. I have been appointed, as well as been hired and volunteered in a number of habeas proceedings, both at the State level and Federal level.
